Pay What You Can Afford
When we started this business, in addition to our desire to run a sound operation, we knew we wanted to find a way to use it as a vehicle to help our community. We have a unique skill (plumbing) and it is simply not an inexpensive service to have in your home. There are a lot of homeowners who just cannot afford to have a licensed plumber come to their home and fix their plumbing issues. Perhaps their garbage disposal stopped working, their toilets no longer flush, they have clogged drains, or maybe they have an inoperable water heater, and on and on it goes.
Well, we want to help. So, we are introducing a program called “Pay what you can afford”. It is designed to help those homeowners that have a plumbing need but have financial situations that have not allowed them to address the issue.
Once a month, we will provide plumbing services for selected homeowners and will only accept payment for what they can afford. Seriously. It may be as simple as a hug, or some banana bread, or any amount of money they feel they can comfortably contribute. Whatever they can afford to give we will accept. Of course, we can’t do this for everyone. We’re just trying to help a few people at a time.
So, here’s where you can help… share this with your friends. If you or your friends have someone in mind that they think could use our help then send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Let us know the situation and a little about why they need help. And yes, you can nominate yourself. Only criteria are that the people referred own and occupy the property, are financially constrained, and do not qualify for State or Federal aid programs for the type of issue they are having. Preference will be given to seniors, disabled, and veterans. We will review a few situations each month, evaluate the needs, and select who we can assist. Every one of our team members are contributing their time. That’s just the kind of people they are. Thank you for helping us help others!
